Workbench User Guide

What your teams do, day to day, in one governed experience.

The Workbench is your first-party window into the platform. Your teams sign in with their Google identity and work through the governed lifecycle — onboarding, configuration, submission, readiness, approval, execution, results, and evidence — in one place. Importantly, the Workbench is a client of the same governed APIs your systems use; it adds review ergonomics, not hidden authority. Available today.

What You Can Do Today

A Typical Day

  • Configure reusable settings without redefining the underlying calculation semantics.
  • Submit and validate — see exactly how inputs resolved and what, if anything, needs attention.
  • Check readiness with Config Doctor before committing compute.
  • Approve through an explicit, recorded workflow.
  • Run and monitor with run health and job traces.
  • Review results alongside the evidence and the launch gate that applied.

Explainability In The Workbench

Insight cases present result summaries and contributor analysis as part of result review — not as a disconnected chatbot. Today these are grounded in your governed facts. Available today. The richer narrative and conversational explanation experience is on the roadmap.

Operational Visibility

Beyond individual runs, the Workbench gives your operations teams the audit trail and issue tracking they need: a full activity log, configuration history, technical cases, known issues, and notifications. Available today. Embedded BI dashboards and reporting packs are on the roadmap.

What This Means For You

  • One governed surface for the whole lifecycle — your teams are not stitching together tools.
  • The workbench has no special powers. It uses the same governed APIs, so what your people can do is exactly what your systems can do, under the same controls.
  • Review with evidence in reach — every result links to its evidence and the gate that applied.

Where The Platform Is Today

Onboarding, configuration, submissions, runs/jobs, Config Doctor, approvals, results/evidence, and operational visibility are available today. Narrative explainability, embedded BI, and reporting packs are on the roadmap — see Capability Maturity And Status.
